Washington - Kosovo's new Ambassador to U.S., Akan Ismaili, presented credentials to President Barack Obama during a White House ceremony. President Obama and Ambassador Ismaili spoke in favor of further deepening of relations between Washington and Pristina.

"President Obama wished the Ambassador and his family welcome and said he expects to work together to deepen the already close relations between the two countries. Subsequently President Obama stressed that Kosovo is a new country of great promise, "the statement said. 

"Four years since independence, Kosovo has had major achievements by realizing its obligations to establish a sovereign, independent and build democratic and multiethnic institutions in the service and protection of interests of all citizens", Obama added.

According to the U.S.A. American President, Kosovo has to do much work and has urged Kosovo's leaders remain committed in continuing the progress. 

Obama said the United States will supports Kosovo in the fulfilling of difficult tasks, necessary for the advancement of reforms.
