Francois Holland, new president of France
Preliminary results of presidential elections in France announce the winning socialist candidate, Francois Holland, with 52 percent of the vote. According to exit poll, President Nicolas Sarkozy has obtained 48 percent of the votes.
Former President Sarkozy congratulated his successor. Holland will be the first socialist president since 1995.
The French Ambassador to Kosovo, Fitou, told RTK that the changes in French leadership do not change the principles of French policy and principled attitudes towards Kosovo.
