Over 600 liters of motor oil and 400 liters alcohol are confiscated
Yesterday in a joint operation of Customs and Police in Mitrovica region have managed to prevent smuggling of motor oil.
Yesterday afternoon the customs officials began pursuit of a vehicle type Audi A4 black color when attempt of stopping the person who drove the vehicle which did not stop and continued with increased speed towards Vushtrri.
Task force Units of (customs and police) started the pursuit of suspect vehicle but in the Venice of village Doberlluke the vehicle entered in an secondary road. The pursuit continued until when the driver abandoned the vehicle trying to escape by running in unknown direction. During the vehicle examination was found large amounts of motor oil which was camouflaged.
The vehicle was withdrawn and placed in the customs terminal in Mitrovica, where after the opening and counting the exact amount is concluded that the amount of 638.4 liters was loaded in two car spaces (seats and luggage).
Vehicle and oil is confiscated while the case has been passed to the committee for further consideration offenses.
Likewise yesterday in another operation also in Mitrovica region customs units were able to prevent smuggling and found alcohol without banderols. After the one vehicle was suspected for transportation of smuggled merchandises was stopped by tasks force units, where after the car control and after they found l alcohol smuggled from Serbia. But during another vehicle control they managed alcohol were found local products that did not have banderols, thus attempting to avoid payment of excise taxes which are also confiscated. Total overall seized alcohol seized in these two cases is 416 liters.
