Memorandum of Understanding between Mitrovica and Trepca
Mitrovica- Donor conference was held in Mitrovica Wednesday on the Trepca environmental projects. In this case, the MoU was signed between the MMPH, Mitrovica municipality and the Trepca enterprise, MMPH which is under the management of KAP.
Under this MoU it was agreed to create conditions in order to implement environmental projects of Trepca and provide a framework for financial support and defining co-financing structures between the parties.
Regarding the signing of the Memorandum, Minister Gashi thanked the donors and said that the Ministry of Environment is trying to implement systems for improving environmental quality in all sectors. Trepca Enterprise Manager, Ferat Shala said that the initial investment of 50 thousand euro marks a new era for reducing the challenges of this enterprise and considered that this amount is only the first symbolism of Trepca in its commitment to cleaner environment.
Trepca environmental projects arising from the donor conference in September last year primarily are related to management of heavy minerals waste. The steps and high priority projects that will begin soon by this enterprise were presented in the conference. / Koha.net
