Garbage stinks, residents complain
Mitrovica – Residents of the neighborhood "Kemajl Ataturk" in Mitrovica complain because the waste bins that are placed in a frequented street stink for they are not emptied in time by the company "UNITETI" .
Resident of this neighborhood, Remzije Rexhepi , says that this problem always upsets them.
"My flat and store are near here and except the odor and dirt of waste there could have been problems with power transformer that is placed over the bins. It often happens fire is broken out by unscrupulous people. We have complained but this problem is pending, "she said.
Director of the Company "Uniteti", Skender Tahiri, told M-Magazine that they do cleaning regularly, but he also blames residents for disposing garbage outside the bin.
"We are working 24 hours for maintenance of the city and removal of the waste out of bins, but unscrupulous residents dispose waste outside bins," he said.
However with or without knowing, it is the fact that the waste exist and its odor takes the breath away.
