EULEX's mandate expires on June 14, 2014
At today's meeting of the Government of Kosovo among others it was discussed the EULEX mandate.
Deputy Prime Minister Kuçi presented the correspondence that is occurring between the Kosovo institutions and European Union authorities over the EULEX mandate.
"Under the proposal of Kosovo institutions, June, 14, 2014 will be EULEX mission’s last working day in Kosovo, when it is envisaged the termination of its mandate, “ Kuci said.
He explained that the bilateral agreement is expected to be achieved, which will be ratified in the Assembly by a two thirds of votes, whereas Kosovo institutions have asked EULEX to submit to the President the names of judges and prosecutors to be involved in Kosovo.
