Center prepares quickly the staff for the labor market
Mitrovica - In order to preserve necessary crafts and occupations not to be neglected, the Regional Vocational Training Center (VTC) in Mitrovica guarantees this.
This center has a staff of qualified trainers for many professions such as: carpentry, tailoring, cooking, administration business, etc.VTC has been sponsored by foreign donors. Conditions to practice many professions are sufficient, except transportation. All students have difficulties in traveling, because the VCT is located on the outskirts of the city. All the students who do practicing and graduate in various vocations are favored by the Center for Employment and Social Welfare and their professions are required in labor market.
Offices of the Departments for Employment and Social Welfare are located in Mitrovica, Skenderaj and Vushtrri. Ferdane Haxhimehmeti, Director of VTC told M-Magazine that this professional Center prepares many students for carpenters, tailors, cooks, business administration, etc. "Vocational Training Center trains and re-trains students in the short term, including all of basic knowledge, provides about 8 (eight) professions, standards, professional knowledge, and the basic elements in business are at the highest level", she says. Preparation and training of these students have been entrusted to a qualified staff and skilled trainers of these professions.
M-Magazine spoke with one of the experts in the field of business administration, Mr. Milazim Xhafa, who said that many students are interested in business administration management and they try with all their options with the most modern means and methods of the time to make these students skilled for labor market. Mr. Xhafa says that VTC is located in the outskirts of Mitrovica and there are no transportations means like some private schools have. This is a big obstacle; otherwise the number of students would be many times greater.
Director of VTC also added: "Our center has advantages for students because it is free of charge”. Dibran Jashari, director of the Municipal Employment Office in Skenderaj told M-Magazine: "We have sent to VTC in Mitrovica around 60 students to be prepared professionally, but their employment here in Skenderaj is not guaranteed, because our office in Skenderaj offers:
1) Social Support,
2) Services for job seekers,
3) Makes the realization of the demands of citizens in the country and abroad” within and outside the country ".
Avdi Bala, graduated from professional Center for a tailor, is employed with OTEKS in textile and tailoring.
Dritan Jonuzi, who graduated from carpentry, is employed with “Berto”, the furniture factory.
Sabit Bala, who also graduated from Center for a cook is employed in a private restaurants here in Mitrovica.
Vocational Training Center, in a short term, free of charge and with a professional teaching staff, offers professional knowledge based on the professional flexibility in order to become successful for the labor market.
