Ten-year study results assert that aspirin taken regularly reduces colon cancer risk for more than 60%.

Scientists have researched throughout the world and compared people who have taken two aspirins a day and those who have taken placebo tablets. The research was published in “The Lancent” and included around 1.000 patient from 16 countries. First results in 2007 did not show significant effect of aspirin in preventing this kind of disease..

However, after researches conducted in 2010, it appeared that aspirin has helped in reducing of carcinoma diseases for around 63%. "If people, in whose families there were cases of carcinoma of the colon, would have been given two aspirins a day for two years, for five years it could be proven that the risk of disease is reduced for more than 50 percent, " John Burn, from Newcastle University, said.
