Mitrovica - Police in Mitrovica confirmed Tuesday that the 20- year–old person K.K, suspected of "endangering the safety of public traffic," in an incident that occurred Monday in the village Zupce of Zubin Potok was not detained in the police premises, but sent for medical treatment to Pristina Clinical Centre, due to pain in different parts of the body from the hit during the incident.

Regional KP spokesman, Besim Hoti, said he felt pains during the interview at the police station in Zubin Potok, and after assessing the situation he was sent for medical treatment.  
Apart from the recorded initial case, police has also initiated investigations into the case of causing grievous bodily harm caused to him. 

The incident took place near the barricade in Zupce Monday about noon, when 20-year-old driver of the vehicle type "BMW", "RKS" plates, along with his traveling companion, a 19- year- old female, and while passing the barricade, because one lane of the road was blocked, has seen a group of people who were standing near the barricade and for personal safety reasons has decided to turn back in the direction he had come.  

"While manipulating his car, he lost control and with the back of his car hit another parked car of type" Opel Astra " with a pregnant women in it, and then hit a pedestrian causing him bodily injuries and left the scene heading in the direction of Zubin Potok. Then he stopped at the safe place and removed the vehicle plates “ Hoti said.

On his return back to Mitrovica, a group of people near the barricade in the village Zupce have identified and stopped the car of type "BMW" that caused the incident, and the same physically assaulted 20-year-old driver.
