The government begins contacts with residents of the north
Mitrovica - Government of Kosovo, within the plan for the north, has begun the first contacts with Serb residents in this part of Kosovo, through which they want to persuade the citizens of this area to accept Kosovo's institutions.
According to the newspaper "Tribuna Shqiptare", which refers to sources within the cabinet of Prime Minister Hashim Thaci, it is notified that recently the number of citizens in the north who have expressed willingness to cooperate with Kosovo institutions is increased.
Also, according to these sources, the Kosovo government has asked Serbs of the north to elect their representatives who would talk with Kosovo institutions regarding the integration of the north, but according to these sources, the Kosovo government would never accept to talk with Serbian representatives who have police record and are suspected of criminal activity, even if Serbian citizens will insist on their representation.
