Mitrovica – It is notified through a press release that the Customs Service has prevented an attempt of smuggling goods, respectively drugs.

Customs officers during routine patrols have suspected that a vehicle parked at a restaurant in the Mitrovica region may have smuggled goods.

In cooperation with the Kosovo Police they checked the car from outside and the first indicators showed that the vehicle contained goods inside. As the owner of the vehicle was not found, the vehicle was towed away to the customs terminal in Mitrovica.

After controlling the car there were found 6890 packs x 30 of aspirin tablets. The value of the goods has not yet been estimated, but the goods and the vehicle were seized. The case was handed over for further proceedings to the commission for customs offenses.
