Mitrovica - A day before Serbian elections in northern Kosovo, non-Serb inhabitants of northern Mitrovica, make known about the increase of the local and international security forces in this part of town, with the particular focus in neighborhoods inhabited by mixed population.

They say that apart from the increase of the number of Kosovo police officers, present in larger numbers than usual are also EULEX police and KFOR peacekeeping forces.
Kosovo Police officials in Mitrovica, assert they are working at full capacity, and that on Sunday is expected to be present even more these forces in neighborhoods with mixed population in the north, in order to prevent any kind of inter-ethnic incident during the day of the Serbian elections.
