Searching for the missing persons continues in Zhilivode
Vushtrri- In Zhilivode village, near Vushtrri, EULEX experts from the Department of Forensic, in cooperation with the KSF, resumed today searching in this location for possible remains of war victims who are considered missing. This search began at the end of August 2010, but was interrupted for a while.
“Everything is going as planned in the location where excavations are being carried out,
and are expected to last about 4 months," EULEX announces.
Since the EULEX experts have joined Department of Forensic in December 2008, this
department has performed about 270 operations on the ground. There were found more
than 135 dead bodies”, EULEX said.
On Tuesday, EULEX experts from the Department of Forensic, in collaboration with the
Kosovo Security Force divers conducted a search operation in a location in Livoç Lake
near Gjilan, in search of missing persons. In this case no were remains were found.
