Protest against Kosovo license plates forewarned
Serbs in northern Kosovo have forewarned a rally Friday morning to the border in Brnjak and Jarinje, connecting Kosovo with Serbia.
With this action, they have said they wanted to express dissatisfaction with the Kosovo government's decision to forbid Serbian license plates with the initial letters of the cities in Kosovo, Serbian media report. Representatives of Leoposavic parallel bodies have said that it is unacceptable, as they called it, forced integration of Serbs in the northern part by the Kosovo government.
Government of Kosovo as from June 1 forbade the circulation of vehicles with the old license plates of Serbia, Rel transmitted. Kosovo Serbs are obliged to change the plates with new plates of Kosovo, whether RKS or KS.
