Days of Czech Culture in Mitrovica
Mitrovica ā€“ Czech Embassy to Kosovo, in cooperation with the Professional Theater in Mitrovica and other international organizations such as OSCE, UNDP, and the German, Austrian and Dutch embassies organized a concert of classical music performed by music professors, professionals in this field.
The "Summer European music" concert was organized for the second time in Kosovo. It included the participation of 62 students of music academies in Kosovo, Albania and Macedonia, where Kosovo was represented by 22 of them.
One of the international participants of this activity, the Ambassador of the OSCE to Kosovo, Werner Almhofek, told M-Magazine: "The concert had great artistic values and was represented by the well-known names of European classical music.
He especially thanked the Professional Theatre in Mitrovica for their help, support and cooperation in this project. “He also said he would be happy if such cultural events were organized more frequently in the city of Mitrovica”.
Osnat Lubran, general manager of UNDP in Kosovo, Dutch Ambassador to Kosovo, B.E. Bosch were pleased with the concert.
Whereas the main organizer of this concert, the Czech embassy, which was represented by Ambassador Jiri Dolezel, said: "Days of Czech Culture taking place in Kosovo, Albania and Macedonia speak of high level of classical music."
Whereas, the Director of Professional Theatre of Mitrovica, Mirsad Ferati, said that such cultural events are of importance. "One such cultural event is very important, but next time, in events like this I would like to have larger number of spectators and especially of media," he said.
