According to the standards for accreditation of study programs and high education institutions, ten faculties of the University of Pristina can enroll about 1,700 students, the provost prof. Dr. Zlatibor Vasic told the web portal M-MAG. "Our University was approved enrollment of 1049 students financed by public expense, whereas faculties can enroll around 700 hundred self-financing students
As recommended by the Ministry of Education, tuition prices will remain at last year's level ranging between 18,000 at the Faculty of Agriculture and 100,000 dinars at the Faculty of Arts. Average tuition fees at other faculties are about 50 thousand dinars, "- Vasic said. According to him, depending on the faculty, social-vulnerable students will have certain privileges. Therefore some students will be able to pay tuition fees on monthly base installments, while others will pay tuition fees at the reduced amount to 50 percent.
Vasic said the University of Pristina next year is expecting a new cycle of accreditation so the preparations at faculties have already been done. The large number of faculties is accredited by the Ministry of Science of Republic of Serbia, and by the end of the year they will apply to be accredited in the new five-year term.
"It is important for the freshmen to know that ten faculties of our University have accredited 44 study-programs, on basic and integrated academic studies in all scientific fields, but also in the field of art”.
“This practically means that our future students have a wide range of choices of study programs and I hope that each of them will be able to choose a desired program, the desired faculty, "- , the provost for teaching said. University of Pristina, located in the northern part of Mitrovica, has 11 000 students out, out of whom only one thousand do not attend courses at public expense.
