This year the "Night of open studio" has been realized in 33 cities in Serbia. Visitors had opportunity to visit premises in which artists work and create as well as through direct contacts with them learn more about the contemporary art scene. Art often on these days is a sideshow, even though by its significance within the framework of culture and history writing is unavoidable, is increasingly is being neglected.
The night of open studio aims to expand the awareness about the artistic creativity and culture in general, and to make it approachable to every person who wants to be culturally educated. Visitors had the opportunity that in "Active art center" in northern part of Mitrovica to visit the area, in which artists have worked, created and in direct contact with them, learn more about the contemporary art scene.
In the framework of this manifestation evening program was implemented in the group area in which were and participants which do not have their studios, with which was created a immediate interaction with the audience. Graduate painter Miroslav Savelic stated that that kind of manifestation for young artists who are just starting their creative careers is an opportunity to exchange opinions and artistic ideas. “This kind of manifestation means for us young people who are just beginning to create our future in the creation enriches in one such gathering, which is first in Mitrovica.

Third year student of Art Faculty from Zvecan Jovana Denic , which participated with 4 works said that she was extremely pleased because she had the opportunity in this kind of environment to paint emphasizing that for the first time in three years of study meets with this kind of organization.

Director of Active Art center Predrag Guberinic stated that the "The night of open studio" aimed to expand the awareness about the artistic creation and culture in general and the:"The night of open studio": had for purpose to get it closer to each person that wants to be culturally educated. ", The manifestation aims to promote visual culture by making so that visitors have the opportunity to peek into artists’ studios.
This way, our fellow citizens had the opportunity to see the works of our graduate students, students of art academy, graphic artists, designers, artists who already have local and international reputation, and in the same time they were introduced with the process visual creation ", said Guberinic. At this event, the first of that kind in Mitrovica, participated a large number of young un-established of artists which with their quality just develop their career, and whose work the audience don’t have the opportunity to see often . The manifestation organizers in Mitrovica were the citizens Association "Fraktal 3", in partnership with the Mitrovica NGO Active.
